For all of you Back to The Future fans who’ve idolized Marty McFly and his superpower sneakers, Nike has given you the chance to experience it yourself…well sort of. Nike has a sneaker, the McFly Nike Hyper Dunks, inspired by the ones seen in Back to The Future II. The shoe, almost indentical to young Marty’s kicks, features McFly style color blocking, Back to the Future style logos, and finished off with a glow-in-the-dark sole (sorry high-tech laces tying themselves and lighting up features will not be an added bonus) The limited edition “McFly 2015”, will be out by the end of the summer (UNDFTD in Santa Monica had a pre-release earlier this summer). For almost two decades, BTTF fans have been mused, hoping and becoming more anxious as to whether Nike would produce the McFlys, but with the year in the movie being 2015, Nike decided to have an earlier release in 2008. They must have figured the future is now and that the McFly Hyper Dunks are way too cool to be a thing in the past. Also, rumor has it that Kanye West had a part in Nike deciding to produce the sneakers because he wanted a pair himself. Gee, what’s it gonna be next, Hoverboards Air Maxes?
