If you're more of a conventional person—timid and unadventurous, a "stick-in-the-mud" so to say—then you may not be totally smitten with these idiosyncratic garments. For those of you who are that exact opposite, check out these latest threads by James Millar, a designer based in London with a background in textiles and print. Anyone is eligible to wear these lush and vibrant knits, as they are ambiguous enough to be worn by both men and women. In short, Millar’s 2008 spring collection can be described by his use of refreshing colors, playful and practical designs and altogether effortless.

The line is centered on euphoric knitwear and prints. You will also find vinyl raincoats, oversized zippered bags, and fantastic tights, perfect for the bold & beautiful. Questions like "Would I wear it?" kindle the designer’s creative process while he takes inspiration from fashion icons like Issey Miyake & Vivienne Westwood, old album covers, David Bowie images, the glam rock movement, collage work of Jean Paul-Goude and 1920's Art Deco plates from Gazette du Bon Ton: all which, when compiled, result in this great assortment of clothing. His garments give off a flaming energy igniting the desire to add a piece to your wardrobe. Now the only hard part may be in tracking the garments down as they are only available at exclusive retailers. For more looks check out the website: http://www.jamesfrancismillar.co.uk/
