5 Time Def Poetry Jam Poet, Bassey Ikpi, is taking her one woman poetry show on the road and this time, shes partnering with the Philly Youth Poetry Movement to do it. Thursday, September 1, 7:00pm-10:00pm, Ikpi will host Basseyworld Live: Philly an evening complete with poetry, music, and the best beer in the city on tap at TIME, 1315 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107. With DJ William Ellis out of NYC spinning all evening, Ikpi will open the show with a mix of fan favorites and new work, followed by a performance from members of the Philly Youth Poetry Movement - fresh from their 2011 Brave New Voices Championship, and featuring mentor and coach, Greg Just Greg Corbin. Guests will enjoy food and drink specials for most of the evening. 10% of the evenings ticket sales will go to help PYPM match their Knight Arts Grant.
