Picking the right pair of sunglasses means spotting a pair with the right combination of appropriate fit-for-face, style, and practicality. The perfect pair of shades does two things well: (1) adds to your swag and (2) blocks out the sun. That's it. It ain't rocket science. And while some of the latest trends are a godsend (think mirrored aviators for that instant I'm-cool-without-trying look), others have left me wondering who the hell wears these off the runway? And though there may be a time and a place to look like you just stepped out of a Lady Gaga video, that time and place isn't this weekend's trip to Wildwood. Call me old-fashioned but I'm not sure I'd prefer to look like I just walked off the set of Mad Men on my way to the C bus stop either. I'm not saying these new trends suck more hot air than that balloon at the Philadelphia Zoo in 96 degree weather, I'm just saying I'm not buying into them.
